House on the Hill
So I did this Author Christmas party on Facebook last night and it was so much fun. I met some great new people and so many new authors. I also gave a teaser of Shadows as well as House on the Hill and I was surprised by the amount of people begging me for House on the Hill it got me so excited!
So I have been working hard on it. The words are just bleeding on to the page it is amazing!!

House on the Hill

Prologue
Many know the tales of the house on the hill. It’s a long story, an old story, one of legends, one of myths. One no one believes actually happened. Yet it did. It is said that you can still hear the laughter from the children who used to live there. The laughter fills some with smiles other shake with terror when they think of those children. When they think of what they must have gone through.
Many years have passed since the last child grew and left the house on the hill. Grown and gone off to live its life.
It sits empty now, the bushes and vines grow wildly around the house. Covering every window, every step. Some say it remains empty because children no longer believe in magic. Others say it’s because no child has come to claim it as their own. And others still say it holds to much pain for anyone but her to ever own it.
The truth still remains a secret but I will tell you my story of the house on the hill as I remember it. I will tell you my tale of how I came to live there how I found her. How my life changed and how it was before and after.
The image of the house is burned into my mind. I couldn’t forget it even if I tried.
The house was huge from the outside it looked like a castle. It was white, with chocolate colored gables. The front steps had a small flower box on it purple and pink daisies grew out peaking at the world beyond the box. Brightly colored sea shells and beach glass surrounded the base of the flowers.
The front of the house had two giant windows looking into the living room the white curtains were pulled shut for the night. A wooden door with three small windows at the top held the entrance to the house.
And at the very top of the house was a single window.
I plan to publish this book online for my fans to read. I will likely self publish this eventually.

Hey guys
I know I really get far behind on my blog these days. I have been using my Facebook more because I can update it easily from my phone during the day.
I have been continuing my Agent search I still haven't found Mr./ Miss Right yet but I know they are out there just waiting for me.
I did get to do some traveling in September and October part of why I haven't been on in a while. I got to see NYC this October and it made me just want to push that much harder to get myself published. I fell in love with the city and the state over there. For the first time in my entire life I actually felt like I was home while I was over there. It was an amazing feeling. In September I was able to go to Disney land which was just beyond amazing for me. I spent 10 days driving from Washington all the way down threw California. I got my writing spark rekindled there it was starting to go out a bit sadly. I came up with a new novel idea as well which has now manifested into a book titled California Girls. I am loving every moment of writing it.
I have also been hard at work on House on the Hill. This novel really means a lot to mean and bears my soul in a real and raw way.

Summer time
Well its been months since I updated I know. I have been updating my Facebook on a daily bases though.

Lets see news well a few months ago I was in the hospital for a kidney stone and it really put me behind on my promoting and querying.
I have however sent out a bunch more query's and I have also sent out a few via snail mail.
I am still sitting at only 9 rejections which is good. A number I am happy with.
I have been working on book 2 as well it is keeping me busy. I am also working on a second novel and it will be published just online for you guys to read and enjoy while I agent hunt.

It is titled "House on the Hill" and is a fantasy/ horror novel. I am enjoying writing it.
I have also been really enjoying my Microsoft RT Surface as well it has made writing so much easier and I can take it with me where ever I go. It is really helping with my writing. I have also been on the go trying to keep up with all the other stuff in my life. Looks like me and the hubby will be moving soon as well so I maybe MIA again for a bit.
November will be the national writing month again and I may just get to do it this year so I am really rather excited about that. Looking forward to it.

Updates
Well its once again been a while since I updated. I really need to work on doing this more often.
Lets see I am sitting at 5 rejections so far which is pretty good. Sending out some more query's today.
I am currently working on book 2 in the Evermore Trilogy.
I have also started book 1 in a second trilogy titled "The Witches Mirror." I will be putting up some info about that in the weeks to come.

The Writers Life
Well when last I shared with you guys I had just finished my novel. Well I am now in the query stage of things. I sent out 10 query's last night and have received 2 rejections which I am fine with. It is 2 closer to the right Agent. I know my Agent is out there just waiting to take my book and share it with the world. I have also been asked to do an interview for my book which is really exciting!
I will keep updating as this adventure goes.

News. Updates. All together exciting stuff!
Well this is an exciting moment for me. The other night I pulled an all nighter and I have some exciting news! "Shadows of Pandora" Book 1 in the Evermore Trilogy is FINISHED!!! Yes you are reading that right it is done! I am at this moment polishing it up. But wait there is more. Tomorrow I will be working on my query letter, Monday morning I will be sending out query's to several agents. So get ready to hear about my agent hunting process. I am beyond excited to start this step. This also means that my Official site will be getting Character bio updates. I will be introducing a few new characters on there as well as a full synopsis for book 1. This means the teaser will go away and you will finally get to find out about Shadows. My book is also currently sitting with a professional editor she has given me the green light to query so this has been an exciting week for me. I really can't contain my excitement. I am so looking forward to sharing my world with all of you who have become my fans. I am beyond excited to be sharing this news with everyone. March 2013
Sorry I have been away again everyone.
I have some exciting news though for "Shadows of Pandora".
My book is currently sitting with my Editor friend. She is going over it and then I will be doing the final edit before looking for an agent. I am also working on the last 2 or 3 chapters of my book. I am so very close to the end of it. I am really excited should be Agent hunting in a month!
Sadly Health issues have kept me from doing a lot of writing the last few weeks but I am better now and back in full swing and should be finishing my book shortly I am really excited for this. I am still about 10,000 words short of my goal but I still have these last few chapters to go and then one last edit.
This is really an exciting time for me and I can not wait to start looking for my Agent. I will of course keep you updated as I go through that as well. I am looking forward to the future that is for sure!

Happy New Year
Happy New Year from Gwen
The holidays were crazy and busy but so much fun. I had to put writing away for a while just to do all the things I had going on. Was such a great holiday season though.
I am back to full writing and I am aiming for being done and shipping my book to my Editor by the end of the month. Then Agent hunting will begin, I have been reworking everything in a few of the chapters trying to introduce the characters to you guys better. I really want you to feel these people so I had to fix a bit.
I did take some wonderful time over the holidays to read and enjoy myself a bit. I started to read "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon. It is a brilliant book and an amazing love story. I love this authors writing style and the way she twists time travel and love together. I can not wait to read the rest of the series.
Well off to spend the evening writing.
