Been a while

Sorry it has been a while guys I have been busy working on my novels. So here are somethings that have been happening.

1) House on the Hill is being edited by my amazing new editor Alicia Marie Smith. I adore this girls work and her kindness. 2) There is a kickstarter for House on the Hill. That's right I am trying to raise money so that I can pay my wonderful editor as well as get the cover work for House done. And some other things for the publishing process. I am planning to do KDP for my book this time around and I will see where this takes me. I am really excited for you guys to read this book. 3) I am participating in NaNoWriMo once again this year and I am already on a role. This is a fun way for me to see if I can push out books faster. This novel titled "The One" will be a romance story for your enjoyment. It will be in the New Adult category as it is MA but I know you will all love it. It has been really weird for me to write a Non-Fantasy novel but I am enjoying the challenge that it brings. I am really excited to be taking the NaNo journey. I am really excited to share my next book with you.

4) Shadows is being revamped. I am trying something new with Premonition which may change Shadows a bit but I know you will all love it when you see it! So keep a watch out for that!

Shadow of Pandora has been selling like crazy I am so happy with how my little book is doing out in this world. People are loving it which is still so much for me to take in I am so not used to people liking something I have done.

One of those weeks.

Wow I can not believe that February is almost over already!  2014 is already flying by and I am just trying to keep up. It has been a busy few weeks finishing up the stuff that goes into Shadows and working on House on the Hill.

I announced on my Facebook a week ago the title of book 2 in the Evermore trilogy.

The title is Premonition: Book 2 in the Evermore trilogy.

I am really excited for you guys to get that one as well I have been working hard on it.

Today I am spending Valentines with my Hubby and my Book Boyfriends. This year it is Caleb Jacobson from the Significance Series by Shelly Crane.
As well as my Beloved Dante from House on the Hill. He is number one on my list these days.

Author Blog spot light!!! Kelly Martin!

Wonderful and amazing Author Kelly Martin is here with us today!! Check out her new book! 

I'm so excited to be here talking about my new book, THE AFTERLIFE OF LIZZIE MONROE, and to answer three reader questions. I recently asked on facebook for any questions my readers had for me... they had a LOT! I was surprised actually. And they are really great questions! Some of the blogs on the tour have the questions and answers. Here we go!

Three Reader Questions with Kelly Martin

1.       What was your favorite read as a teen/middle grader and why?

The first novel I ever read was Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. I was in 8^th grade in 1994 (the same year the movie came out). My friend, Rosie, and I took turns reading it at school. I had a huge crush on Brad Pitt and I could picture him when I read the book (which didn’t hurt lol).  And... I've probably just aged myself lol

2.       What literary character did you have the most in common with—which one do you admire or want to be like?

I’m probably most like Brittany in BIG is Beautiful.  Maybe not the ‘beautiful’ part, but there’s a lot of me in her. Also, I think I’m strangely like Lizzie in The Afterlife of Lizzie Monroe. Sometimes, things don’t go the way I had planned too ;)

3.       What book made you fall in love with the written word?

This may sound a little silly, but it was Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. Not really for the reason you would think. I did like the story (well, maybe not Breaking Dawn ;) ), but I really respected her as a writer and a mommy. She had three young sons. I had three young daughters. I thought if she could do it, why couldn’t I? So I did J

I'd love for you to check out LIZZIE MONROE. I describe it simply as a Civil War/historical/contemporary/inspirational/zombie/romantic/epic  ; ) Yup. That about sums it up. It's Sleepy Hollow meets The Vampire Diaries with a little faith thrown in for good measure (of course... there is a lot of faith in Sleepy Hollow too lol). SO if you like Sleepy Hollow-- you'll like LIZZIE :)

So Tuesday is a rather big day for this writer over here!
On Tuesday I will be revealing my cover to the world and I am beyond excited!!!!

A Great Saturday!

Today has  been an amazing day!!!!! I got to see my cover for Shadows of Pandora and it is beautiful!!!!!!!

A reveal event is on its way as soon as I finish the edits. I am working really hard on them so soon guys. I am beyond excited for you guys to see this cover. I also got feed back from the House on the Hill beta reader and I am seriously blown away by what was said. So it has been a great day for me.

I also have some other stuff in the works that as soon as it is set up I will share with you guys.

Editing, Writing, and Reading

Well today has been a busy day! I am really busy working on all of my edits for Shadows it is coming along and I am loving all of the edits! House on the Hill has had several chapters sent to a Beta reader and I can not wait to hear what she has to say about it.

The big news of 2014!

Well I know I slack at updates on here. But here is the big news for you guys! This Author here is now a Published Author!! My book has been picked up by Pure Ice Publishing and will be coming soon. I am so excited to finally see my book in print!! This is the dream you guys. I am so excited because I will finally be able to share my story with the world. It is so nerve wracking and exciting all at once!
